We’re off again but this time a little more varied than our
trip to Spain for the winter.
We are booked on a Dover to Calais ferry in a few day time
from where we plan to travel through Belgium to Luxembourg. We then South
through France before crossing Switzerland to before arriving in Italy.
It is here that we have booked ourselves on a 17 night
escorted tour of Northern Italy ending up at Rome. After the tour finishes we
are heading further south to catch an overnight ferry to Dubrovnik before
heading north again up the Croatian coastline as far as Zadar where we head
inland to Zagreb. After this we head west towards Ljubljana before stopping at
Bled on the shores of its lake. Then further north into Austria to Salzburg
after which we have no fixed route planned.
We can’t wait to get going now.
We’ve not had brilliant WiFi so this post had to wait. We
arrived in Luxembourg this afternoon and the site (Bon Accueil) has free WiFi
that works well.
We came over on a ferry on Wednesday the 29th and
stayed last night on an Aires in Bavay, just in France but near the Belgian
border. A lovely little town with everything you needed, even a Carrefour
Market at the end of the street so good to stock up with a few things.
145
miles brought us to Luxembourg where we are pitched on a lovely little site
five minutes from the village centre, but very peaceful.
