We are now at Langa Manga for our Winter visit.

After a fairly calm crossing we arrived in Spain on 6th January. Heading off on the toll roads to cover the ground we spent our first night again at Aranjuez near Madrid. With a temperature of minus 3c in the morning we left as soon as we were ready, arriving at La Manga about lunchtime. We managed to get the last pitch in the main rally area and gradually settled ourselves in although we did go to a dinner dance the night of arrival.

We are now into our second full week, and when I say full I mean full. Every day we have something to do, some days several things. We are now learning to play bridge, continuing with dance classes, walking, cycling and once we have time on a calm day our inflatable kayak is pumped up and ready for use. We haven’t had time to get to the local market at Los Bellones yet but hope to soon and combine it with a visit to the Bodega there.

Internet is much better here this year with the site arranging with an outside company to provide internet and TV of you want it. The offer is effectively free TV  (ie no extra charge) so we have gone for both so we can keep up with the news at least.

It has been quite windy here at times and a few ferry crossings to Spain have already been cancelled or postponed since we arrived.

We are very pleased with our new awning which has stood up to the winds very well, barely moving. It is windy here today but the sun is giving warmth so not too bad, certainly better than the UK forecast we saw recently.

Must go, time for dancing.
